Lucy Mathews Summers

Lucy Mathews Summers was the daughter of Josiah Allen and Lucy Martin Mathews.  She was born January 16, 1834 and married Eldridge Simpkins Summers on April 26, 1855, in Clarke County, Alabama.  They came to Texas shortly after the Civil War with her mother, sisters and their husbands, and her brother John Mathews.  Lucy and E. S. were the parents of Sarah Ann Lucy Summers Butler, Letia Enos Summers Hager, and James Albert Summers.  Lucy died November 20, 1921.
