Mary McGinnis

Mary E. McGinnis was the daughter of James H. and Elizabeth Kidd Lewis.  She was born July 15, 1829.  She married James Wylie Williamson, and they had one daughter, Sarah Ann Williamson who married  W. D. Martin.  Their son James Kerb Martin married Margarett McDaniel.  

After the death of James Wylie Williamson, Mary married Daniel Rufus McGinnis in 1849.  He was killed in the Civil War.  They were the parents of John K. and Robert Joshua McGinnis.  Mary and her children came to Texas with the McGinnis/Williamson/Flowers/Brinker wagon train from Alabama shortly after the Civil War.  She died January 19, 1905.
