Edgar Mathews

Joseph Edgar Mathews, born January 21, 1914, was the son of Fred and Maudie Butler Mathews.  He died April 4, 1994.  He married Sarah Louise Gribble, and they had two children, Jerry Dale Mathews and Jo Ann Mathews Cross.  Edgar established one of the first dairies in Hopkins County and later taught several years in Lubbock, Texas.
