Kirby and Margrett Matthews Martin

James Kirby Martin, son of W. Daniel and Sara Ann Williamson Martin, was born July 10, 1872, and died April 17, 1943.  His wife, Margrett McDaniel Martin, was the daughter of Porter and Mary Matthews McDaniel.  She was born April 15, 1873, and died September 26, 1939.  They were the parents of William Dan, Loyd H., Melvin Marion, and L.D. Martin.   J. Kirb’s mother was the daughter of James Wiley and Mary E. Lewis Williamson.  After the death of James Wiley, Mary married Daniel Rufus McGinnis.  Sara Ann was therefore also known as Sallie McGinnis.  J. Kirb’s father served in the Civil War.
